Help with MarineOS on your helm display, iPhone, iPad or Mac, and with MarineOS Cloud.
Email crpelon@gmail.com. Tell us which device and MarineOS version you're using (Settings › System & About on the display or app), and what happened. A screenshot helps.
Getting started
Do I need an account?
No. The chart works in your browser without one, and MarineOS works on board without the Cloud. An account lets you save routes and waypoints, sync them between your devices and see your boat from anywhere.
How do I pair a helm display or an app with my boat?
On the helm display, open Settings › System & About › MarineOS Cloud and choose Pair this boat; it shows a code. In MarineOS Cloud, choose Pair a boat and enter the code. On iPhone or iPad, sign in with your MarineOS Cloud account and choose your boat.
How do I get routes I planned in the browser onto the boat?
Plan them on the chart with your boat selected. They sync to its paired display and apps the next time they're connected, and changes made on board come back the same way.
Charts and navigation
Where do the charts come from?
NOAA electronic navigational charts, US Army Corps of Engineers inland charts and State of Michigan lake depths, with places ashore from OpenStreetMap. They're converted for display and aren't official charts. MarineOS is not certified navigation equipment: keep a proper watch and check routes against official charts.
A chart or a place ashore is wrong.
Tell us where. Chart errors can also be reported to NOAA; places ashore can be fixed by anyone on OpenStreetMap.
Your account and data
How do I delete my boat or my account?
Remove a boat from its page in MarineOS Cloud. Delete your account in Settings › Profile. What that deletes is explained in the privacy policy.
Can I export my routes?
Yes: download a boat's routes, waypoints and tracks as GPX from its page in MarineOS Cloud, or use Export (GPX) on the display or app.
